PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a range switch operation force according to a situation wherein in ordinary range switch, an operation force is deceased, and an operation force from a high range to a low range in a state to induce the occurrence of over-run of an engine is increased, in switch of a range between the low and high ranges of a multistage transmission for a vehicle. SOLUTION: Only when the gear position of an auxiliary transmission on the output side is a high range and a car speed when a transmission on the input side is switched to HIGH and LOW exceeds a specified speed or more, an operation force by which the shift rod 6 of a gear shift unit 5 is switched from a high range to a low range is increased. For this purpose, an engine overrun preventing means is provided to bring a hydraulically operated plunger 12 controlled by a gear position and a car speed into contact with the shift rod 6. |
