PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve record quality of a boundary part between record areas by changing a gradient of dots to be overlapped at a predetermined area of an already recorded record area when a recording head moves in a main scan direction thereby recording a paper in color in units of dots. SOLUTION: When a CPU 63 controls recording, an image information for recording a first column among image information of one line is read out from a printing buffer 69d of a RAM 69. Whether or not the read-out image information includes an image information to record an overlap area is judged. When the judgment is YES and a designated color is, e.g. cyan, pulse data corresponding to a gradient is read out from a cyan pulse count table in a memory 65, output to a head-driving circuit 57, so that the data is recorded in units of dots. In other words, when an already recorded record area is to be overlapped, a gradient of dots to overlap the area is changed, so that record quality of a boundary part is enhanced. |
