摘要 An LCD device is provided to equip a PVA(Patterned Vertical Alignment) area and an IPS(In-Plane Switching) area all in a pixel and equip the PVA area and an IPS-mode electrode to form multiple liquid crystal alignment modes, thereby realizing the wide-viewing LCD device. A PVA area(110) operated in a PVA mode and an IPS area(120) operated in an IPS mode are simultaneously provided to each sub pixel of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device. The PVA area comprises a first substrate(111), a second substrate(112), liquid crystal(113), a pixel electrode(114), and a common electrode(115). A TFT(Thin Film Transistor), a switching device, is formed on the first substrate. Color filters are formed to display various colors on the second substrate. A black matrix pattern is formed to divide each color filter by sub pixel. The pixel electrode and the common electrode are provided to form an electric field. The pixel electrode is connected to the drain electrode of the TFT on the first substrate. The pixel electrode is divided into plural branch electrodes(114a,114b,114c). The plural branch electrodes are arranged in parallel. Each of the branch electrodes is arranged to be spaced from each other at regular intervals. The common electrode is formed on the second substrate.
