The manipulator has a holder with which an object can be reversibly fixed, a positioning arrangement, with which the object can be positioned at predefinable positions, and a position specifying device. The position specifying device is used to specify the positions at which the objects are to be placed and contains a controller and/or regulator, and includes a computer. Independent claims are also included for the use of a manipulator and for a method of positioning, mounting and/or demounting an object.
