The bending, calibrating and fine shaping process comprises placing the hollow strip (2) in a bending tool (1) with part of the surface supported by part of the tool and the side surfaces supported by a contour (6) of the tool, and bending it. After bending, the remaining free cross section contour of the strip is fully supported by a shaping part for the creation of a cavity of the intended shape. High-pressure gas is supplied into the strip (which is closed at one end), so that the strip is re-formed to the contour.
