A waterproof sound-transmitting film according to the present invention is provided with a non-porous resin film having a plurality of through-holes formed therethrough in the thickness direction, and a liquid repellent layer formed on a main surface of the resin film and having openings in positions corresponding to the plurality of through-holes, the through-holes having a diameter of 4.0 to 12.0 μm, and in the thickness direction thereof an air permeability of 2.0 to 50 cm3/(cm2∙sec) as indicated by the Frazier number measured in compliance with the requirements of JIS L1096. When the waterproof sound-transmitting film is disposed in an opening of a housing of a piece of electronic equipment or the like, this film maintains the characteristics of transmitted sound even with reduced effective area thereof while preventing water intrusion from the exterior into the housing.
