A sauna steam bath apparatus comprises a two-piece steam bath cabinet, a muff-like steamer (9), a water tank (14) which is also used as a seat and a bath hood means (5, 10). The two-piece steam bath cabine comprises two vapor distribution boxes (1) hinged together. Each of the vapor distribution boxes (1) has a hollow foot rest (2) on its lower portion. Joining means adapted for joining with the bath hood means (5, 10) is provided on the upper edge of the vapor distribution boxes (1). Some vapor passages are evenly arranged under the foot rest (2) arround its centre in a radiated form. The water tank (14) is separated from the vapor distribution boxes (1) and is positioned on the foot rest (2) in one of the vapor distribution boxes (1). The sauna steam bath apparatus solves the problem that it is too hot in the upper portion and it is not hot enough in the lower portion usually occurring in the prior sauna steam bath apparatus and is compact and easy to assemble, disassemble, wash and store.
