The arrangement has a position sensor (20) for detecting an open/closed position of a window that is opened/closed by a motor (9) and for performing a clamping prevention safety control mode according to the detected position. The position sensor has a main gear wheel (24) rotated by a motor output shaft (14). An auxiliary gear wheel (25) axially adjacent to the main gear wheel is turned at a different speed. One of the gear wheels has an associated contact (31,32), the other a conductive film (30). A position detection signal is produced when the contact comes into contact with the film.
