Motor vehicle fuel canister holder

The holder has a holder tensioner (8) with a hooked end (12) gripped by an eyelet (16) or by the crosspiece of a bodywork bracket (2). A further end of the tensioner strap is clamped or screwed (1) to the bracket as joined to the vehicle chassis (3). The crosspiece is formed between two vertical bracket ribs (10). A screw join (17) contains a clamping screw which is inserted in a bracket flange part taking the tensioner strap between screw head and flange. The clamp is inserted via a plate in a hole at the end of the strap and the screw counters the bracket clamping plate by an opposing plate to leave a gap between for the end of the strap to be screwed tight.
