Carrier material for a pressure sensitive adhesive strip for diapers, plastic pants or incontinence pants

Two strips of synthetic fiber fleece (10, 12) with a weight/unit area of 10-40 g/sq m are laminated on both sides of a thermoplastic polymer film (14). 1-2 g/sq m of a silicone coating (22) applied to one outer face. On the opposite side a polyolefin layer (24) with a weight/unit area of 10-40 g/sq m is applied to the other side of the laminate. Independent claims are made for: a) a method for manufacturing the carrier material in which a polymer film (14) is extruded and fed between the fibrous fleece layers at a laminator with a cooling cylinder and pressure roll and the laminated fleece strips (10,12) are then siliconized on the same plant; b) a use of the carrier material in which adhesive is applied to the non-siliconized side and the adhesive is rolled up against silicone.
