<p>The system prioritizes data before transmission. The communication system uses an access point comprising a number of access terminals for receiving data flow provided at different rates from diverse sources. The data is formed into packets, and the different data sources are multiplexed together. There is also at least one output terminal for delivering the multiplexed output. The multiplexer includes a device for ordering the packets according a guaranteed or non-guaranteed service provided to the user. The guaranteed items are then re-grouped with priority attributed to them, and a non-guaranteed items are also re-grouped with one or more distinct levels of priority. The packets are subsequently multiplexed as a function of their priorities.</p> |
