Thermoplastic moulding materials with high lubricity - contg base resin, lubricating oil, high density polyethylene and filler

Compsns. contain (A) 95.5-50 wt. % base resin as powder or granules, (B) 0.5-10% HDPE, (C) 2-20% lubricating oil and (D) 2-20% graphite, carbon black and/or MoS2 to improve the surface. Wt. ratio of (C) to (B) is 1-20:1 and components (B)(C) and (D) form an integrated structure dispersed in the powder or granules of (A). The material feed well on screw moulding machines, and addn. of (D) prevents splitting of the moulded surface. Mouldings have excellent lubricating properties and appearance. HDPE has better oil absorbing properties than ethylene-vinyl acetate at high temps.
