The invention relates to a cigarette package, comprising a cigarette box (1) with two compartments (10, 11) in which cigarettes (9) that are almost half the size of ordinary cigarettes are arranged. Each compartment (10, 11) comprises a containing part (13, 15) and an articulated cover part (12, 14) attached thereto. An insert (132) extending on three sides along the sidewalls of the containing parts (13, 15) is arranged in said containing parts (13, 15). A foil for preserving the freshness of the cigarettes is arranged inside the insert (132) and around the cigarettes (9). In view of the fact that two compartments are provided, the inventive cigarette box is optimally configured for receiving short cigarettes while having approximately the same outer dimensions of an ordinary cigarette box. This makes it possible to sell short cigarettes using the existing cigarette vending machines. |
