PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling control device which controls engine speed in compliance with an engine operating condition by changing a control gain, which is for determining a corrective injection amount to correct a fundamental fuel injection amount at idling, in accordance with the engine operating condition. SOLUTION: When in idling, the absolute of a deviationΔN of the engine speed from a target revolving speed is below a specified value Nlv, control gains Gp-Gd for determining a corrective injection amount to correct a fundamentalfuel injection amount Qfr by means of PID control of the deviationΔN are calculated by multiplying the fundamental control gains Gpb-Gdb by proportioning factors Kp-Kd which are functions of the oil temperature. To as the engine operating condition determined at Step 7 (Step 8), and the target fuel injection amount Qi is determined by adding the corrective amount in compliance with the engine operating condition to the fundamental fuel injection amount Qfr (Step 9).
