PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a center distance of print dots constant even when an area of the print dot is changed in an ink-jet printer. SOLUTION: The ink-jet printer has a recording head 1 where a plurality of recording electrodes are arranged to correspond to ink discharge openings, an opposite electrode arranged at a position facing the recording head 1 via a recording medium for generating a potential difference to the recording electrodes thereby acting an electrostatic force to ink, a recording voltage pulse generation device 13 which applies a recording voltage pulse of a width corresponding to gradation data to the recording electrodes, discharges ink to which the electrostatic force acts from ink discharge openings and records print dots of an area corresponding to the recording voltage pulse to the recording medium, and a delay trigger signal generation device 14 which outputs to the recording voltage pulse generation device 13 a delay trigger signal for adjusting an application start time of the recording voltage pulse to the recording voltage to make constant a center distance of print dots in a scan direction of the recording head 1. |
