The sealing strip(3) and metal section(4) form individual components, and the inner sealing area(6) of the strip is supported against the force of the contacting upper edge(2a) of the window(2) by a rib(9,10) on the metal section, and is provided with a slide face(11) which guides this upper edge with pretensioning of the window into its closed position. The guided slide face is provided with a lining or coating of friction reducing material.
