The X-ray diagnostic device has an interruption free voltage supply device (11) for at least one beam detector (12) and/or computer unit (13). The device has a mains voltage detection device (10). It also has a room OFF switch (2) and a system OFF switch (5). The voltage supply device (11) receives a signal from the mains voltage detector (10) and the two OFF switches (5). The voltage supply device (11) is actively connected when no mains voltage is detected. The voltage supply device (11) is passively connected when an OFF signal is generated by either or both of the OFF switches (2,5). The beam detector (12) may have several detector elements for generating electric signals in dependence on incident radiation.
