The valve bag is made mainly of paper. It has a valve insert for the insertion of a filling connection. This insert has an insertion hose (2) and a flap region to overlap the bottom cover sheet (3) and to be glued to it. The insertion hose has an internal thermoplastic layer (2f). The flap region is formed from a hose sector projecting over the adjacent enface edge of the bottom cover sheet.
