A method for securing the front panel on a drawer has plates (3) fitted to the front edges of the sides of the drawer and provided with slotted holes through which threaded fasteners (14) are screwed into spreading plugs (12) inserted into blind bores in the rear of the panel. The holes have stepped lips to grip the lipped outer ends of the plugs. This enables the plugs to be fitted to the plates and the fasteners partly tightened. This enables the front panel to be adjusted prior to securing the fasteners. |
