<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a line printer consuming small power and printing at high speed. SOLUTION: A line printer has a line head 1 having a plurality of recording parts 2 formed in one line, a head-driving means 6 for driving the line head 1 and a transfer means 5 for transferring a recording paper 4 in a sub scan direction. In the line printer, the recording parts 2 of one line are divided by a division count N to form a plurality of blocks to be driven by the driving means 6 which drives recording parts separately. A product of a maximum energization time to each recording part 2 and the division count N is set to be equal to a print cycle or within a range of the print cycle.</p> |
