PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleanly recycling a solid fuel prepared from waste without requiring new equipment investment. SOLUTION: In treating combustible substance-containing waste by using a steel-making converter having exhaust gas treatment facilities, the combustible substance-containing waste is previously molded into a waste solid material and this material is introduced into the converter which is out of operation and heat treated to generate a combustible gas. This combustible gas is preferably burnt by the exhaust gas treatment facilities and heat-recovered as steam by a boiler of the facilities. |
