PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for softly molding cooked rice, capable of efficiently producing the softly molded cooked rice having a good texture, a good taste and a high quality. SOLUTION: This device for softly molding cooked rice is provided with a moving mold 2 having plural penetrated molds 8, 8a at a constant distance, a cooked rice-feeding mechanism disposed above the moving mold 2, lower molds 12 disposed in the molds 8, 8a, respectively, an upper mold 15 disposed above the mold 8a having cooked rice fed thereinto, a lower mold-lifting or lowering mechanism 27, an upper mold lifting or lowering mechanism 16, and an upper and lower mold-driving mechanism 31 for simultaneously lifting and lowering the lower mold 12 and the upper 15 through the upper mold-lifting or lowering mechanism 16 and the lower mold-lifting or lowering mechanism 27 in the mutually faced and symmetrical direction. In order to transmit the force of the upper and lower mold-driving mechanism 31 to cooked rice (a) in the mold 8a as an elastic compression force, the upper and lower mold-driving mechanism 31 is interlocked and connected to one of the lifting or lowering mechanisms 16 and 17 through a compression spring 47. |
