<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect stable inter-frame correlation from input signals and to surely perform frame frequency conversion by detecting the inter-frame correlation of the image signals, whose noises are eliminated by a nose filter and then surely performing the frame frequency conversion. SOLUTION: A noise filter 11 eliminates the noises of image signals and generates the noise-cut image signals. The filter 11 is a space filter which performs a closed filtering process in a frame, and the correlation is secured with use of this space filter. An inter-frame correlation detection means 12 detects the inter-frame correlation of the noise-cut image signals and detects the overlapping fields. A frame frequency conversion means 13 deletes the overlapping fields form the noise-cut image signals and performs the frame frequency conversion. Thus, the means 12 performs the stable inter-frame correlation detection without being affected by noises, etc. and is able to detect the overlapping fields of image signals.</p> |
