PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain the subject (bio)degradable particles of narrow size distribution useful as a water absorber in e.g. sanitary goods such as paper diapers, agricultural/horticultural supplies, by evaporating polyamino acid-contg. droplets to dryness. SOLUTION: The particles, pref. substantially spherical ones, with an average diameter of 0.1μm to 5 mm, is obtained by evaporating polyamino acid-contg. droplets with an average diameter of 0.1μm to 5 mm to dryness; wherein the polyamine acid may be crosslinked or non-crosslinked (pref. crosslinked). The above droplets are produced, pref. using a solvent-contg. gel or slurry of the polyamino acid by means of spraying such as rotary disk, pressure nozzle or dual fluid nozzle method, dispersion by air jet, or by using a disperser or disaggregator or the like (pref. by spraying method). It is preferable that the size of the particles is 70-1,500μm and 100μm to 5 mm for sanitary application and soil modification, respectively. |
