PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light shielding frame for a luminaire and a luminaire using it preventing rainwater running down along a light shielding frame body from splashing on a globe. SOLUTION: This light shielding frame 2 is provided with a light shielding frame body 2a prepared with a cap part 2a1 covering the upper half of a globe 1b along the globe 1b evaginating ahead of the luminaire and an eaves part 2a2 protruding further diagonally downward to the front of the globe 1b along the forward edge of the cap part 2a1, and a mounting part 2b mounting the light shielding frame 2 to a luminare body 1. A front edge of the eaves part 2a2 protrudes further ahead of the foremost part of the globe 1b, therefore rainwater, etc., drop just as it is without splashing on the globe 1b even when the rainwater, etc., run down along the light shielding frame body 2a. Further, the light emitted from the part of the globe 1b opposed to the eaves part 2a2 passes through a gap between the eaves part 2a2 and the globe 1b, and it contributes to the lighting within the range of a light shielding angle, consequently efficiency of the luminaire is improved that much more. |
