<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and method for tightly closing the clearance of hollow cylindrical object by which a closing filler can be easily removed at exchanging of cables, etc., when the clearance between a cylindrical object, such as telephone cables, etc., and an internal structure, such as cables, etc., positioned on the inside and outside of the cylindrical object is tightly closed, and in addition, flowing water can be completely stopped even if water flows through a conduit. SOLUTION: In a structure and method for tightly closing the clearance between a cylindrical object and an internal structure positioned on the inside and outside of the cylindrical object, the clearance is filled with a filler after a flexible sheet composed of foam rubber 6, foamed plastic 5, or water-swollen resin having a water stopping property is wound around the peripheral surface of the internal structure. In addition prior to filling the clearance with the filler, water-swollen fibers are put in the farther interior of the filler.</p> |
