PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the precise and sure manufacturing of a lightweight molding body excellent in mechanical strength and wear resistance by a method wherein the specified percentage of the total molding material of a reinforcing fiber included. SOLUTION: As a thermosetting resin, a phenolic resin or the like is employed. As a reinforcing fiber, an aromatic polyamide resin or the like is employed. Further, as for the reinforcing fiber, the length of fiber charged in dispersions is set to be about 1.0-6.0 mm, for example. The containing percentage of the reinforcing fiber is adjusted to lie within the range of 15-60 wt.% of the total molding material. A sheet mainly made of the thermosetting resin and reinforcing fiber is formed by a paper-making method. The sheet is shredded into small pieces. By heating them up to the temperature range, which is higher than the gelling temperature of the thermosetting resin and lower than its curing temperature and agitating after being added with a proper solvent, flakes or the like are formed. From the flakes, a lightweight resin molding body excellent in mechanical strength and wear resistance can be precisely and surely manufactured. |
