A roller skate (10) comprising an elongated frame (50) with a connection side and a rolling side opposite to connection side, a plurality of wheels rotatably mounted to said frame (50) to extend radially from said rolling side, a footwear element mounted to said frame (50) to accommodate a skater's foot, said footwear element being provided with a sole, wherein the sole is provided, on a first side, with a first lateral element and, on the opposite side, with a second lateral element, one of said elements being provided with a removable wear resistant plate extending longitudinally along said footwear element.
