The training apparatus, to exercise and strengthen facial muscles, has a clothes-peg structure with the upper and lower sections (9) linked together with a stiffening bush (11). A coil spring (4) is round a spacer bush (3). The screw bolt (1), to lock the sections together, is through the spacer bush and secured by a nut (2) and acts as the pivot axis for the moving sections (9). The sections (9), at a gap of 2 cm, have a min. length of 24 cm. The unit has a replaceable biting plate (8).
