The device has a fixed jaw and a mobile jaw controlled by an actuator that has a compensator spring with adjustable tension. The printing station is serviced by an upstream feed conveyor and a downstream evacuation conveyor. A loading/offloading device (18) is located between the conveyors above the processing station (15). The object transfer device (26) has two jaws (50,51), one fixed and one mobile. The mobile jaw is moved by an actuator (53) with compensator spring (64) of variable tension. The actuator has an endless belt (54) with drive pulley (57) to constrain the mobile jaw to rotate. The actuators of the jaw of the two transfer members (26c,d) are separate and share the same motor pulley (55).
