The needle has a sleeve (4), a wire (2) which is fed into the sleeve and protrudes from at least one end of the needle for contacting a contact point. The sleeve has at least one longitudinal slot (7) in which the wire can bend laterally under an axial load. The sleeve can have several slots in which the wire can bend laterally under axial loads. The slots are arranged in a plane. An Independent claim is also included for a test adapter using the needle.
