The invention relates to a device for preparing food portions (4) comprising a microwave compartment (1) in which a portion (4) can be heated. An extremely quick preparation can be carried out by means of heating and cooking when the portion is placed on the cooking surface (2') in the microwave oven. The dimensions of the device can be adjusted to extremely small sizes such that it adapts to the size of possible portions.
