The concrete surface is roughened and the ends of the reinforcing rods (2) are exposed before depositing metal or alloy layer to form the anode. A method for galvanic cathodic protection of floors against concrete damage, especially in floors constructed from elongated pre-fabricated concrete elements (1), comprises the following steps : (a) the concrete surface is roughened in order to promote adhesion of an anode layer ; (b) ends of the metal rods (2), preferably the reinforcing rods, are exposed ; and (c) a metal (alloy) anode layer is deposited on the exposed rod ends and the roughened concrete surface, the metal containing less noble metals than the steel in the rods. |
