PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove, in case carrier in developer stick to the surface of a photoreceptor when a toner image is formed on the photoreceptor, the carrier from the surface of the photoreceptor, in an image forming device which renders an electrostatic latent image, formed on the surface of the photoreceptor, visible as the toner image with the two-component developer of a developing device. SOLUTION: A carrier holding member 21 is provided opposite the photoreceptor, to which a voltage having a polarity opposite that of carrier is applied, and also a carrier recovering magnet 22 is provided in the carrier holding member 22. Thus, the carrier sticking to the surface of the image carrier can efficiently be recovered regardless of whether the toner in the developer is magnetic or nonmagnetic and, further regardless of whether the carrier sticking to the surface of the image carrier is keeping its original electrification- polarity or the electrification polarity is reversed. |
