PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize comfortable air conditioning by enabling addition of ventilating function with a restricted height in an air conditioner. SOLUTION: In a ceiling flush type or ceiling mounted type air conditioner which is so designed that a heat exchanger 21 is arranged in a casing where a suction port 3 and a blowoff port 4 are arranged at a side or on the undersurface thereof and air is sucked from the suction port 3 through the heat exchanger 21 to be blown at the outlet port 4, a part of air is discharged outside a room from the surface of the ceiling. With such an arrangement, the space of the rear of the ceiling can function as chamber for ventilation. For example, as compared with the structure of arranging a chamber member for ventilation on the lower end side of the casing 1 as in the past, there is not need for any exclusively used chamber member. This allows addition of ventilating function while restricting increase in the height dimension of this air conditioner, thereby realizing comfortable air conditioning. |
