PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition hardly causing corrosion on a pen-point even after long term preservation and capable of maintaining a high level of writing properties by including a molybdate of a specific chemical formula, a coloring matter and water. SOLUTION: The objective composition comprises a molybdate of the formula M2 O.MoO3 (M is an alkali metal, NH4 <+> or an alkanolamine), of preferably 0.01-10.0 wt.% (expressed in terms of MoO3 ), a coloring matter, preferably of 0.5-30 wt.%, and water, preferably of 40-90 wt.%. The composition is preferably used in an aqueous ball-point pen having an ink-storing tube, a tip-holder made of at least one kind of a material selected from stainless steel, brass and nickel silver, and a pen-point having a cemented carbide ball. |
