PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast iron casting which can be welded even if a decarburizing annealing for applying the welding is omitted, and the producing method thereof. SOLUTION: In the cast iron casting which can be welded by inserting a weldable steel piece on the surface layer part at a welding position of the cast iron casting as cast-in, the producing method is executed by pouring the cast iron into a mold 3, in which the weldable steel piece 1 to be inserted whose thickness is greater than at least melt-down depth at the time of welding and <=1/4 of the thickness of the casting at the welding position, is fixed while bringing into contact with the inner surface of the mold 3 corresponding to the welding portion. |
