PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device capable of providing a compact suspension device for an automobile, preventing the deformation and damage to a vehicle body wheel house portion due to a concentrated load, and improving handling and a riding sense performance. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of an upper control arm 4 having a wheel carrier 2 for rotatably supporting a wheel 13, a wheel side connection part connected to the upper end part of the wheel carrier 2, and a vehicle body side connection part pivotally connected to a vehicle body; a lower control arm 6 having a wheel side connection part connected to the lower end part of the wheel carrier 2, and a vehicle body side connection part extending toward a vehicle body; and a damping means 8 and 10 mounted on a side member S to be connected to the arm 6, and converting the vertical movement of the arm 6 due to a shock transmitted from a road surface into a linear movement in the lengthwise direction of a vehicle to buffer this linear movement. |
