PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a spiral bevel gear having the spiral angle as designed, and suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method, a tooth profile is formed by the hot forging, and the tooth profile is finished by the cold forging. The tooth profile formed in a die can be easily designed by setting the spiral angle of the tooth profile formed on the die for hot forging to the spiral angleθ1 considering the heat shrinkage of a tooth trace of a gear W after the hot forging (the spiral angle to be specified by specifying the large end position P1 ' and the small end position P2 ' of the tooth flank before heat shrinkage, from the large end position P1 and the small end position P2 of the tooth flank after heat shrinkage, and obtained from an arc 20' of a gear cutter C' passing through the specified large end position P1 ' and the small end position P2 ').
