PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator controller which can easily correspond to an existing inverter elevator. SOLUTION: In an elevator controller equipped with a converter 3 for rectifying an A.C. power source 1 to convert into a direct current, a capacitor 4 connected between D.C. buses P, N, and an inverter 8 for converting a D.C. power source into a variable frequency A.C. voltage to control, an induction motor 12, the discharge circuits 10a, 11 of the capacitor 4 to connect as the need arises are provided between the D.C. buses P, N. In addition, the controller is equipped with the induction motor 12 connected to the inverter 8, a sheave 13 of a hoist driven by the induction motor 12, main rope 14 wound on the sheave 13, and a car 15 and a balancing weight 16 severally connected to both the ends of the main rope 14. |
