PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound forming a color clearly discriminable with naked eye through being decomposed by trypsin when used in e.g. a test film for clinical examination or the like. SOLUTION: This new compound is shown by formula I (R<1> to R<4> are each H, a halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or the like; X is a lower alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or the like; A<1> is lysine residue or arginine residue; B<1> is H, a peptide with 2-5 amino acid residues, or the like), e.g. 3-(N-α-Z-lysinyloxy)-indole. It is preferable that this new compound is obtained by subjecting a compound of formula II and a compound of formula III (A<2> is N<ε> -tert-butoxycarbonyl-lysine residue or N<ε> -bis-tert-butoxycarbolyl-arginine residue), pref. N-α- benzyloxycarbonyl-N<ε> -tert-butoxycarbonyl-lysine, to ester linkage formation to each other followed by elimination of the tert-butoxycarbonyl group.
