PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for producing a malt drink powder hardly requiring a drying treatment. SOLUTION: This method for producing a malt drink powder comprises introducing malt drink components having a total water content of <9 wt.% into an extruder, heating the introduced components at a temperature of <150 deg.C, simultaneously charging an inert gas into the extruder to form a gas-containing melted mass in which the gas is homogeneously mixed with the malt drink components, extruding and swelling the formed gas-containing melted mass through one or more orifices of the extruder, cooling the swollen and extruded product and subsequently grinding the stabilized swollen and extruded product. |
