PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin impregnation device which is capable of improving the impregnation properties of a liquid resin with a fiber base material at a low cost, and a resin impregnation method using the device. SOLUTION: This resin impregnation device is equipped with a supply roll for supplying a fiber base material 2, a feed device for paying off the fiber base material 2, an impregnation roll 7 for bringing a liquid resin 3 into contact with the fiber base material 2 paid off and a resin impregnation tank 4 for supplying the liquid resin 3 to the fiber base material 2. In addition, the resin impregnation device has the resin impregnation tank 4 installed on an ultrasonic vibration device in a freely vibration manner. Further, the resin impregnation device drives the supply roll for supplying the fiber base material 2 to pay off the fiber base material 2 with the help of the feed device and at the same time, makes the fiber base material 2 come into contact with the liquid resin 3 stored in the resin impregnation tank 4. Then the resin impregnation device applies an ultrasonic vibration to the liquid resin 3 while impregnating the fiber base material 2 with the liquid resin 3 using the impregnation roll 7. |
