PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime preventing effect against an ambushing criminal at an entrance in an elevator landing where a brightness is reduced for restricting an electric power. SOLUTION: A lighting means 6 having a large quantity of light and a wide lighting area is provided at an elevator entrance, and the lighting means 6 is turned on from a fixed time before the arrival of a car to a fixed time after its departure and turned off for the other time. A illuminating light assembled unitedly with a jamb of the elevator may be used as the lighting means, and such a formation as an illuminating light installed separately from the jamb is provided on the ceiling or wall of a landing, and a power source supply terminal to this illuminating light is provided, and a power source supply to the power source supply terminal is turned on or off may be used. In addition, a waiting passenger detecting means 23 is provided, and when the waiting passenger is detected, the lightening means 6 may be turned on. |
