PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent, from being dispersed, an air bag cover formed integrally with an instrument panel main body which closes an air bag inflation port. SOLUTION: An instrument panel 1 is formed with a main body 11 having an air bag inflation port 12 and an air bag cover 2 forming, on three sides, a thin wall part 24 which closes the air bag inflation port 12 and is broken at the time of inflation of an air bag, both of which are formed integrally with each other with a synthetic resin material. A rib 23 is installed projectedly on the air bag cover 2 on the rear surface of its one side, and the plate surface of a top end 54 of a metal bracket extending from the air bag case 3 is connected to the rib 23 with bolts 41 and nuts 42. A projection 52 is formed on the plate surface of the top end 54 of the bracket 5, and the projection 52 is cut into the surface of the rib 23 when the bracket 5 is connected to the rib 23. |
