<p>PURPOSE:To make a comparator unnecessary and reduce the number of use of memory by storing data on energization end points of heat generating resistor elements in memory addresses allotted to the heat generating resistor elements, and energizing by reading out the data in turn with a predetermined addressing. CONSTITUTION:There are provided energization end point memories EM1-EM3 having respectively address terminals of 14-bit to be allotted to a plurality of heat generating resistor elements. While respective lower 6-bit terminals are connected to output terminals of a counter 10, upper 8-bit terminals are connected to output terminals of address selectors AS1-AS3. One and other input terminals of the AS1-AS3 are respectively connected to output terminals of a frame memory 12 and a gradation counter 16. As for the EM1-EM3, data expressing energization end points of the heat generating resistor elements are stored in memory addresses corresponding to values of each picture element data. As for each printing line, energizing time of each heat generating resistor element is controlled based on data to be read out with a predetermined addressing.</p> |
