Accessory for vehicle speedometer

The accessory has a suction pad (6) which is stuck to the transparent cover plate (2) of the speedometer, over the axis of rotation of the speedometer needle (1). The sensor (5) is fitted to the end of a hinged (9) radial carrier (4). The carrier is aligned with the required speed graduation and clamped. If the needle passes under the sensor, the sensor output triggers a circuit which produces an audible warning. The warning may be in the form of recorded speech, e.g. Too fast.
