Armature rod production comprises inserting the end part (1) of the rod (2) in a forging die (3) and fitting an anchor plate (5) with an appropriate boring (4) on the projecting sector of the end part. A foot is then forged on the end part, also deforming the anchor plate so that the anchor plate is bonded to the foot produced on the end part.
