The system includes a copier and a photographing unit which photographs a user of the copier. A sensor is provided for detecting an anomalous operating condition of the photographing unit, in which case the copier operation is forbidden. The anomalous operating condition is preferably a condition, in which a power supply of the photographing unit is switched off, or in which a photographing direction of the photographing unit deviates from a predetermined direction.
