In the closed position each slat (10e) is sealed each side of the roof opening (13) by a hollow chamber sealing element (30) which is in sealing engagement with the side edge (37) of the slat through a sealing face (36). The sealing face points towards the top of the roof and runs inclined relative to the slat towards the longitudinal centre of the roof opening (13). The side edge of the slat in the closed position engages centrally with the sealing face. The angle of incline of the sealing face relative to the main faces of the slat is acute, preferably between 10 and 30 degrees. The sealing wall section whose outside forms the sealing surface curves outwards in the unstressed state.
